Dr. Wheeseong Lee is a highly accomplished CEO and Founder of Lmito Therapeutics, a pioneering company dedicated to advancing innovative therapies for autoimmune/autoinflammatory disorders and fibrotic diseases through metabolic reprogramming. With over 28 years of exemplary experience in the pharmaceutical industry spanning the United States, Germany, and Korea, Dr. Lee is a seasoned expert in all facets of drug discovery and development. Dr. Lee's research focus revolves around unraveling the intricate roles of NAD+ in mitochondria and cell metabolism modulation. He has pioneered innovative approaches in drug discovery focusing on metabolic reprogramming for immunology, fibrosis, and oncology. His work has led to the development of novel therapeutic candidates that modulate immunometabolism, fibro-metabolism, and cancer-metabolism in various microenvironments. His extensive expertise encompasses the management of drug discovery programs in immunology, fibrosis, oncology, and central nervous system (CNS) areas. Educationally, Dr. Lee earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, working under the mentorship of Professor Scott E. Denmark. His postdoctoral fellowship at the California Institute of Technology, guided by Professor Erick M. Carreira, further enriched his expertise
