Sohila Zadran completed her undergraduate studies in Molecular Cell Biology and Neurobiology at UC Berkeley, and her doctoral studies in Neuroscience. She subsequently completed her post-doctoral fellowship in Systems Neuroscience at the California Institute of Technology as a National Institute of Health Fellow.
She founded a biotech company, Agarionan, in partnership with the California Institute of Quantitative Biology (qb3), the Johnson and Johnson Innovation Centers (Janssen Labs), and a women's health company, Menopause.ai in partnership with the Fogarty Institute of Innovation. Sohila was an Associate Partner at McKinsey and principal at BCG Digital Ventures. She has also worked for leading Venture Capital firms, including GreatPoint Ventures, Trousdale Ventures and was an EIR at Khosla Ventures. Sohila Zadran currently lectures a course on Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks at Stanford University and Maven. In 2024, she joined the board of Abera Biosciences (ABERA:SS). Zadran is a Partner at Archangel-1, an investment firm for deep tech and science centric companies. Zadran is a Science Ambassador at Brex.
