Dr. Fu is the head of CorpDev and Strategy at SonoThera. He brings with him a wide array of experience ranging from his training as an Anesthesiologist, time spent in consulting, equity research, as well as Venture Capital. Prior to joining SonoThera, Shawn was a Vice President at Vertex Ventures HC focusing on platform technologies and genetic medicines where he led investments and held board positions across both biotech & medtech opportunities, including, among others, SonoThera, Allay Therapeutics, and SpyGlass Therapeutics. Previously, Shawn also served as Vice President on JP Morgan’s Equity Research desk covering large / SMid Cap Biotech. Dr. Fu obtained his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School and his bachelor’s in biology/economics at Duke University.
