Dr. Melissa Paoloni was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2024, after joining OncoNano as Senior Vice President of Corporate and Strategic Development in 2023. Melissa leads OncoNano’s corporate operations, business development, alliance management and strategic planning efforts. She brings 20 years of expertise in strategic partnering and collaborations across a variety of organizations including biopharma, diagnostics, public-private partnerships and academia. Melissa most recently served as Vice President of Corporate Development and External Alliances at Arcus Biosciences, where she led partnering efforts across the portfolio. Prior to that, she provided strategic organizational consulting to several large pharmaceutical companies across a variety of therapeutic areas, ran large scale research programs at the University of California at San Francisco and the National Cancer Institute and developed multiple consortia to support innovative drug development efforts. Melissa received her bachelor’s degree in human biology from Stanford University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University. Melissa trained in medical oncology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed a master’s in clinical research training at Duke University.
