Hannah Wastyk

Co-Founder and CEO, Interface Biosciences
Hannah Wastyk is co-founder and CEO of Interface Biosciences. Her formal training is in science and engineering. In 2017, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in biochemistry. She attended Stanford University for graduate school and received her M.S. and Ph.D. in bioengineering in four years, graduating in 2021. She worked in Justin Sonnenburg’s lab, and was co-first author on a paper in Cell that was featured by New York Times and currently has over 750 citations. As co-founder and CEO of Interface Bio, she has led the company to raise over $5.2M in venture capital funding and grew the company to 9 full time employees. Their advisory board includes pharma veterans with decades of experience and over 15 commercial drugs. They have also participated in multiple accelerator programs including PearX, StartX, and NYU Endless Frontier Labs. As the company continues to grow, they're excited to start their seed round of funding soon as well as expand their team and network.
